At Image Church, our vision is to reflect the image of Jesus by making, maturing, and multiplying disciples in our city, nation, and world. Our mission is to help people be disciples who make disciples of Jesus. We keep both of these guideposts at the forefront of all that we do and are to reflect back on how the Gospel was furthered in 2023. The Holy Spirit worked mightily on Sunday mornings. Everyone who came through the doors here heard the Gospel message! People left encouraged and inspired to share the Word with others. The worship team continued to point us to Jesus and help us celebrate and honor Him.
We hosted Generation Sundays throughout the year where our entire Church body from babies on up to grandparents worshiped in the auditorium. These were special times where we could model for our children worshiping through prayer, song, and getting into the Word together.
We celebrated new life in Jesus with Baptisms this Spring and Fall. We launched a new I-Kids Baptism Class to help our kids understand what it means to be baptized and give them the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their decision to follow Jesus.
We asked our Church body to make deeper commitments to Image, building on their investments of time, talent, and treasure and our members stepped up! From holding babies, to greeting guests, to hosting groups, and working behind the scenes, volunteers made Image Church’s mission possible.
Our families brought families and new friends found us online. People connected and started plugging in. We prayed with and for people. We helped people come to know Jesus and grow in their faith, and heard amazing stories of life change.
We’ve been praying for more babies to fill our nursery and we love when our Church multiplies from within! We celebrated births and child dedication.
We’re thankful for our staff who work throughout the week to make what we do here possible and for our Senior Leadership Team who provide direction and serve tirelessly.
We reached out to the community. This summer we partnered with Pastor Jose’s congregation to host a Family Fun Day where families could get needed groceries and then enjoy a hot dog lunch and games and activities with their kids. We hosted our first Trunk or Treat event this Fall and had an outpouring of support from our Church body and amazing turnout from the community. We shared Jesus’ love with many and planted seeds of hope.
We launched more Groups this year offering the chance for people to connect in fellowship and dive deeper into the Word. We know God is strengthening our Church body through our Men’s, Women’s, Young Adults and community groups that meet throughout the week.
Our students are learning about Jesus, how to connect with others about Him, and how to respond to struggles Biblically. They have shared stories of telling friends about Jesus and brought guests on Sundays. Teens surrendered their lives to Jesus and recommitted to following Him! Our students serve on Sundays and invest in the next generation behind them.
Our I-Kids had fun each week while keeping the focus on Jesus! We learned about His love for us and how we could share it with others. 4 of our kids got baptized this year! Our I-Kids team was committed to helping our youngest disciples grow in their faith.
We strived to reach the nations for Jesus through our partnerships with The Timothy Initiative and the Welsby family in Australia. We were excited to host the Welsby family while they were stateside earlier this year, have the opportunity to meet their children, and hear from them about their work to reach people around the world for Jesus.
We showed the love of Jesus locally by helping the Hornets at Fred Lynn Middle School throughout the year with needed school supplies and personal hygiene items.
We continued to pray for God to do a mighty work through our Church body and we can’t wait to see how He will work through us in 2024!
